Welcome to the PLAY Network!

We are Missoula's best source for finding playgroups and fun things to do with young children.  If you are interested in joining our group, please click on the brochure link here or to the left for registration information.

We have weekly and monthly activities designed for just parents, just kids and parents with their kids.  Click the blog link here or to the left to see what we have been up to recently!

The following are some of the activities we provide:

Playgroups
Our playgroups meet weekly & members are placed into a playgroup by the Playgroup Coordinator. Placement is determined in part by the parent's preference of being placed with others having children of similar age(s) &/or interests or by demographics. Playgroups are limited to 5 adults.
Through these weekly playgroups children enjoy the chance to play & interact with others. Parents appreciate receiving support from other adults who have an understanding of the joys & challenges of parenthood. Throughout the years we have seen some great lifelong friendships developed by parents, as well as children that met thru a playgroup.

Learning
Talks by experts & discussion groups on topic(s) important to parents & caregivers.
Kid Friendly Events & Activities
Each month our Special Events Coordinators plan 3-5 child friendly activities that are not only educational, but fun & entertaining. These events are a favorite of both The PLAY Network children & parents.
Some of our most memorable special events have been tours of the local Fire & Police stations, trips to llama & pony farms, Apple Pressing at Fort Missoula, scavenger hunts, tours of the PEAS Farm & clothing swaps.

Clubs & Nights Out
If you need to get away from the kids, the dishes, the laundry, the house or anything else, then one of our special clubs or nights out might be what you need. Each of these events meets once per month & includes BUNCO, Wine Tasters, Movie Mavens, Craft/Scrap Club, Book Club & ‘A Night Out'.

‘A Night Out' is a special night that Moms or Dads can come together for food, fun & conversation & actually feel like a grown up. ‘A Night Out' activities vary, but some things we've done in the past are dinner & drinks, Downtown Tonight at Caras Park, bowling & even a trip to the Corn Maize!

Special Activities
Walking Club two times per week, monthly potluck lunches, weekly Bitterroot & Mismo Gymnastics classes (at a discount)

Helping Hands
The PLAY Network believes in helping those in need including our own members. Our Helping Hands program brings our own members assistance when they need it most. Our biggest Helping Hands examples are providing hot meals to families following the birth of a new baby & cash donations at times of crisis.

Monthly Newsletter
Each month all PLAY Network members receive a monthly newsletter providing information on upcoming activities, kid friendly events around town, educational information regarding parenting & other helpful information.

Volunteer Positions
The PLAY Network relies on its members to function. We need your input and ideas. We often have positions available. Please contact a board member if you are interested in a volunteer position.

Community Involvement
The PLAY Network is part of Families First, a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening families by providing childrearing information, learning through play & support to parents of all backgrounds & life circumstances.
